Photography is my passion! I get a thrill from the creativity! I love exploring the colors, textures and perspectives! I am happiest with my camera in my hand and in hot pursuit of the next image!
The next great thing about photography is that it is a great way to meet people, and I love people. I thoroughly enjoy the interaction that comes from sharing my photography and my images with people. Sometimes I share my photography by taking pictures of people. The way people behave in front of the camera is fascinating. Some are confident. Some are uncertain. Then, I love to see the joy in their faces when they are presented with images of themselves. Sometimes it is my images of things that are familiar or important to people that allow me to share my passion with them.
A photograph can communicate without words. I have been in a foreign country, unable to communicate with language but communicating on a very real level with people as I take their picture. To see the smiles and receive the hugs is a blessing to me.
It has been a real blessing to be able to share my pursuit of my passion with my husband. We help each other out. We learn from each other. But yet there is still this underlying current of competition between us. However, it is not a very strong current because he knows that I am the better photographer!
