My start in photography came along with my science fair project. I took photos of our moon's phases during some very cold months. I got Honorable Mention and I was 14. Those B&W's I still have today. I borrowed Dad's Kodak and aligned it to the ocular lens of my telescope. Patience and persistence paid off! Comments from others usually go like this: Are these photos from a science magazine? I think, {not yet.}
Eight years later I fell in love with scuba diving and...underwater photography. Twenty years beyond that short time in Hawaii, I returned for business and I met Monsieur Jean-Michel Cousteau. I nearly got to dive with him, that is, had he not been pressed to catch a plane!
Ten years after that I entered a transition period for my interests in photography. The Pentax ME-Super was my first 35mm camera that soon got upgraded to the Pentax Z-XM. Over more recent years I got the digital bug for a dSLR. By then, I had several nice Pentax lenses; thus, I got me a Pentax K10D.
I joined the Harrisburg Camera Club just a month ago during the September kick-off meeting. The featured speaker was informative and encouraging. Thank you, Mr. David.
MOST recently, I got bit by the "bug" again. But this time I couldn't swap off my Pentax lens arsenal; thus, I sprung for the Canon EOS 40D. Wow. Comments from others are welcomed.
