Photography has been a growth experience for me. In early adulthood I never thought of myself as creative or artistic. But once I picked up the camera and realized that it could be used for more than just documentary purposes, I began to see in a different way. Today I watch the light at dawn and at dusk and appreciate what it does for an image. Today I look for new ways to view familiar subjects. Today I look for the arrangement of things in an aesthetic manner.
Like all artists, I want to improve my “eye” for the aesthetic and like all photographers, I want to get out and shoot more!
I have had the good fortune to share a hobby with my wife. Photography has been a way to spend quality time together, something all couples need. I am hoping for many more years of sharing quality time with my wife pursuing photography.
